€296 million invested in 2025. 971,000 tonnes of CO₂ avoided. 64.7% renewable energy across our district heating networks. Idex has published its 2026 integrated report, demonstrating with hard figures that decarbonising local areas is a solid business model, serving real and massive needs.

A mission-driven company living up to its commitments

In September 2025, Idex reached a defining milestone by enshrining its purpose in its articles of association to become a mission-driven company. A deliberate choice, made in a context some describe as an "ecological backlash," reflecting a deep conviction: the energy transition is not a constraint to be endured. It is an opportunity to be seized, a viable business model, and an imperative for our clients, our local areas and our planet.

Five years after the launch of the Idex 2030 corporate project, this 2026 integrated report takes stock at the halfway point. It shows how strategic decisions, investments and on-the-ground projects are helping to accelerate decarbonisation.

Results that prove the strength of the model

Idex's 2025 performance demonstrates the robustness of its integrated model:

Financial

  • €1.9 billion in revenue
  • €296 million in investment, a record level in the Group's history
  • €210 million in EBITDA

Environmental performance

  • 971,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent avoided through Idex's activities at its clients' sites, up 3.6% compared to 2024
  • 64.7% renewable and recovered energy across district heating networks (target of 75% by 2030)
  • Production carbon intensity down 9.3%
  • Greenhouse gas emissions down 8.8% between 2024 and 2025

Social and societal performance

  • 83% of activities covered by ISO 45001 or MASE safety certification
  • 7.2% apprentices in the workforce in France, compared to 3.7% in 2019
  • 2,500 employees took part in a Climate Fresk workshop, with 90 engaged in a mentoring programme
  • EcoVadis score of 82/100, placing Idex in the top 5% worldwide among 130,000 companies assessed across 180 countries

Projects that are transforming local areas

This integrated report showcases the concrete reality of Idex projects, serving local authorities, industrial players and asset managers.

Bordeaux Métropole: the largest contract in Idex's history. €134 million invested to develop 40 km of low-carbon district heating network, supplied 78% by local biomass and geothermal energy. Ultimately, more than 20,300 homes will be decarbonised and over 1 million tonnes of CO₂ avoided over the lifetime of the contract.

Levallois-Perret: a pioneering project combining deep geothermal energy and the recovery of waste heat from a data centre. From 2029, the city will benefit from local, low-carbon, competitive energy to supply its district heating network.

Industry: tailor-made solutions to decarbonise production processes. At Volailles de Plouray, replacing fuel oil with a biomass boiler avoids 90% of energy-related greenhouse gas emissions, equivalent to 15,200 tonnes of CO₂ over 20 years.

International: after Belgium and Lithuania, Idex is entering Italy in 2026 through a strategic partnership with CO-VER Power Technology, to support Italian industrial players on their decarbonisation journey.

An integrated model serving every territory

Idex's strength rests on its unique position as a vertically integrated operator across the entire local energy value chain: from the production of thermal or electrical energy from renewable and recovered resources, to the optimisation of its end use within industrial, residential and commercial buildings.

This model enables Idex to offer each client the solution best suited to their needs and their local area, by financing, building and operating infrastructure on their behalf. It is the long-term partnership model between the public and private sectors, in which every euro of public funding generates four euros of private investment.

Five years later, the results achieved so far show that this mission is not a mere statement of intent, but the backbone of our strategy and operations.
